This new elementary was designed to be a state-of-the art facility in the rural environs of Whitley County. To help make this facility the heart of the community, the gymnasium and cafeteria were located to be secured separately from the rest of the school, making them available for local events. A large, partitioned music classroom was located near the gymnasium to support the District’s 21st Century after-school program and provide additional space for community use. Although small to start, this building was carefully planned so that the common areas of the school are oversized and ready for future growth.

This school is so energy efficient, it is considered zero energy ready / net zero ready.
