Frontier Nursing University (FNU), located in Versailles, Kentucky, sought a campus-wide transformation of its buildings and grounds to better support its mission to educate nurse-midwives and nurse practitioners.
The renewed campus features renovated dormitories for students, faculty, and guests, upgraded administration and education buildings, and new site amenities including outdoor social spaces, trails, and improved circulation. A new campus Community Center was added to the campus, featuring a dining facility with indoor and outdoor seating, a fitness center, and a gift shop. The Cleveland House, the historical focal point for the entire campus, was fully renovated to provide modern, attractive residential space for visiting dignitaries and special guests.
Classroom buildings were renovated to feature modern laboratories, seminar spaces, and collaborative instructional spaces including private clinical space and simulation labs. The campus auditorium was renovated inside and out to provide large gathering space and improved conference facilities.
Updated signage improved wayfinding across campus and a newly configured entrance and exit featuring a guard house were designed to support upgraded safety protocols and improve vehicular circulation.
