Whitley County High School’s football team is enjoying a new, high-performance sports field following installation of a state-of-the-art synthetic turf system. A retaining wall was installed along the visitors’ side of the field to correct drainage issues that previously plagued the playing surface. Design of the new field includes a custom center logo displaying the Colonel mascot and red striping for competition soccer. Access to water and electricity was also added to the field.
