After years of playing on natural turf, the Lincoln County Schools sought a new, synthetic turf playing field that would be resilient to more frequent use. With redesigned grading to provide proper drainage, the new field is striped for soccer and can also be used by band and other sports. A new, rubberized, eight-lane track, high jump, shot put and discus areas surround the football field.
We've been wanting a turf field ever since I was a freshman. It's just kind of like a dream come true to be able to play on a turf field.
