Plagued by a shortage of gymnasium spaces on campus, Greenup County athletics, arts and after school programs were constantly battling for space to practice. The new Musketeer Alumni Complex, coined “The MAC” greatly increases student access to a wide range of extracurricular activities.
The new multipurpose building is centrally located between Greysbranch Elementary and Greenup County High School enabling convenient after-school access within easy walking distance for students of all ages.
The central space in the building features both a full basketball court and an area of indoor turf. Batting cages for baseball and softball practice, soccer goals, mats for gymnastics and cheerleading, and archery nets all have dedicated storage on site to maximize the building’s ability to transform quickly and easily into the ideal practice space for a wide variety of activities. A music suite is also included, as well as a new office and restroom facilities.
By increasing the available options for extracurricular activities, this new facility promises to boost academic success, character development, social skills and leadership opportunities for Greenup County students of all ages.
